The Federation of Calgary Communities is the support organization toover 200 not for profits in Calgary, including the 150 community associations. Since its incorporation in 1961, The Federation of Calgary Communities mission has been to improve neighbourhood life in Calgary by providing services and programs that create, support and enhance vital and representative community based associations. The Federation provides its members and community associations with services such as urban planning, member services, communications and community relations, financial services, educational workshops, crime prevention and safety resources, networking events, and much more!
Working with its many partners, The Federation of Calgary Communities strives to engage Calgarians in becoming involved in their community through volunteering, membership and other support functions. There are many benefits to being involved in your community association as such organizations provide social, recreational, and educational programs to residents as well as act as a voice for community life on issues and topics affecting the community. With over 20,000 community volunteers, The Federation, along with the 150 community associations, makes up the largest collective volunteer movement in Calgary!
